Join Us For Worship

Worship Gathering: Sundays @ 4:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend our services in person, you may participate with us online through Facebook live.

We are focused on the spiritual growth among the English-speaking African Immigrants living in Lansing, Michigan. Our hearts desire African immigrants to have a home for worship and our Christian faith in Christ Jesus, which is based on the Bible, which is the Word of God. Our worship services are a blend of the ancient rites of Christian worship, called "the Liturgy," and worship music from both American and African traditions. We celebrate the Eucharist (the Lord’s Supper) as God brings His gift of forgiveness through His Word and Sacrament every third week of the month. While English is the primary language in our worship, we do use Arabic and Swahili to communicate God's Word.

We are located at: 501 W Saginaw, Lansing MI 48933.

There is parking available on Saginaw, just before you get to the church, or around the corner on Chestnut, across the street from the church.  As you enter the building, if you came in the Chestnut entrance, the worship space will be up the stairs and to your left.  The lot on Saginaw street provides handicap access, up the ramp across the front of the church.  Once you enter, the worship space will be in front of you.  Our main stairways - up to the worship area, and into the fellowship hall downstairs, are equipped with lift chairs, for those who have difficulty navigating stairs.  The restrooms are located to the right of the worship space.

RECEIVING: God’s word into your heart

LIVING: A Good example to God’s words, and

SHARING: God’s living word with one another.

Our Focus

At Living Word, we focused on “Receiving, Living, and Sharing God’s Living Word,” spreading the living word of our Lord Jesus Christ. We share God’s Living Word in the Bible. We receive it into ourselves that leads us to live as believers and disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. Proverbs 4:12.

Our Mission

place 4

Our Mission: We share the gospel as we Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. “Matthew 28:18-20.” To nourish God’s people, Christ may be known to the World. Jesus says to Peter if you love me “Feed my sheep” John 21:17.

We seek Spiritual growth among non-English-speaking African Immigrants living in Lansing areas as we reach out to our neighbors and share God’s words. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God.
